The Xantrex digital echocharge (part#82-0123-01) offers a streamlined solution for maintaining charge in both your primary house battery bank and a secondary auxiliary or starting battery. Designed to minimize voltage drop, this device intelligently manages power distribution from an inverter/charger or other primary charging source. The Xantrex echocharge actively monitors the primary battery bank's charging status and automatically diverts a portion of the available current to the secondary battery, ensuring it remains adequately charged. The maximum charge current supplied by the echo charge charging unit is capped at 15 amps, preventing overcharging and optimizing battery life. This is a great way to keep your batteries charged with the Xantrex heart echo.
